Kedron United Church is the charter sponsor of the 21st Oshawa Scout Group. The 21st Oshawa Scout Group operates in the north Oshawa area and is one of the largest and most active Scout groups in White Pine Council. The 21st Oshawa Scout Group runs all five sections of the Scouts Canada program: Beavers (ages 5-7), Cubs (ages 8-10), Scouts (ages 11-14), Venturers (ages 14-18) and Rovers (ages 18-25).

Scouts Canada is a volunteer based organization that relies on parents and other adults to donate their time to develop and deliver a Scouting program for our youth. The 21st Oshawa delivers a top grade scouting program through a highly motivated and experienced leadership team. Our youth consistently achieve at the highest level possible and the 21st Oshawa has produced a proportionately larger number of Chief Scouts, Queens Venturers recipients and is the only group within Oshawa that has had Rovers achieve the Rover Rambler Award. Our youth have also competed and won the Samac Foundation Challenge Award for the 4 years that it has been in existence.

As a group we perform services within our community such as tree planting, garbage pick-up and other environmental awareness projects. Many of our youth volunteer their time, both inside and outside the Scouting movement, to help others. They also seek to develop personally through these tasks as well as to expand their horizons through work on a series of challenging badges. Our main focus is an appreciation of nature and the environment through the camping experience and environmental stewardship.
